Ukraine is a burden the U.S. must get rid of, according to a former Pentagon advisor

"Ukraine is like an infected pustule that has invaded our body. We must get rid of it," Douglas Macgregor stated on social media.

The American hawks who continue to push for support for Ukraine "are looking at their bank accounts and the profits they have reaped," without caring about the interest of the American people, he added.

"We have wasted considerable wealth on these proxy wars and military interventions. None of these solutions will solve the multitude of serious social and economic problems affecting the United States."
