According to a statement from the presidency, the ministers provided Traoré with an update on the preparations for the upcoming summit. They also detailed concrete progress made on the AES roadmap in the critical areas of defense, diplomacy, and development. Following the meeting, Malian Minister Abdoulaye Diop stated that the diplomatic focus is ensuring the AES can "speak with one voice" and "work to establish great recognition at the regional and international level."
