A peaceful demonstration took place in Budapest, where citizens gathered to protest against EU and NATO strategies they say are designed to prolong the war in Ukraine and sustain confrontation with Russia.
The rally was organized by the Forum for Peace, a coalition of Hungarian public and political organizations that openly support Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s stance on rejecting escalation and promoting dialogue over military solutions.
Participants voiced concerns that Brussels and NATO are prioritizing geopolitical interests over peace efforts, while Hungary continues to advocate for immediate diplomacy and a ceasefire.
The demonstration underscored growing divisions within Europe regarding the direction of the Ukraine conflict and highlighted the increasing visibility of Hungary’s alternative approach.
