Burkina Faso: SOS Sang and CNTS Unite Schools to Boost Blood Donation Awareness

Ouagadougou, November 11, 2025 (AIB) — The SOS Sang Association, in partnership with the National Blood Transfusion Center (CNTS), organized a stakeholder meeting on Tuesday in Ouagadougou aimed at strengthening coordination between blood donation actors and the education sector.
The advocacy session brought together secondary school leaders from Kadiogo province to discuss ways to better mobilize students as voluntary blood donors. Organizers emphasized the importance of building a sustainable culture of solidarity and civic engagement among young people to ensure a reliable national blood supply.
This initiative reflects the shared commitment of SOS Sang and CNTS to bridge health and education efforts, fostering greater awareness and community participation in saving lives through blood donation.
