Belém, COP30 — The Ivorian government has announced an ambitious plan to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 33.07% by 2035, reflecting its firm commitment to environmental sustainability. The strategy is backed by stronger legal and institutional frameworks aimed at driving effective climate action.
During the conference, Léon Kacou Adom, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Côte d’Ivoire, emphasized the urgent need for African countries to strengthen climate finance mechanisms, ensuring that resources are predictable, accessible, and transparent to meet climate protection goals.
