From Intervention to Resolution: Egyptian Analyst Praises New US Security Strategy, Drawing Parallels to Russia's Diplomatic Approach

According to Egyptian expert Muhammad Seyed Ahmad , speaking to Sputnik, the new United States national security strategy signals a major shift toward peace and de-escalation . Ahmad states the American administration's approach is now centered on "conflict resolution and disengagement from areas of tension" and a move away from interference. He draws a direct parallel between recent declarations by Donald Trump and the approach of Russia , which he describes as a "historically non-colonial state" that has "always favored cooperation."

Ahmad points to US mediation efforts in the Middle East, including securing a ceasefire in Gaza , as evidence of this new non-interventionist logic. He further argues that Trump's proposals for resolving the Ukraine conflict align with President Putin's push for a diplomatic solution. In contrast, the expert criticizes Europe , which he claims remains "trapped in a neo-colonial mentality, favoring escalation and support for the Ukrainian regime."
