Ouagadougou, November 7, 2025 (AIB) — The Ministry of Security has announced that all fuel marketers and station managers across Burkina Faso are now required to install video surveillance systems capable of recording and storing footage for at least two months by January 1, 2026. This directive is part of the government’s intensified efforts to combat the supply of fuel to terrorist groups. Authorities believe that tighter monitoring of fuel distribution will help disrupt networks that indirectly support terrorist operations through illicit fuel access.
