Guiriko: BUNASOLS Raises Awareness Among Producers on Soil Acidity and Sustainable Fertility Management

Bobo-Dioulasso, November 29, 2025 (AIB) – The National Soil Bureau (BUNASOLS) organized a two-day public conference from November 28 to 29, 2025, in Bobo-Dioulasso, focusing on the promotion of sustainable soil management. Held under the patronage of the Minister of State and Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries Resources, Commander Ismaël Sombié, the event brought together producers from the Guiriko region.

Discussions centered on the theme: “Soil Acidity: Its Impact on Crop Productivity and Farmers’ Income,” highlighting challenges faced by local producers and the importance of adopting sustainable practices to improve yields and livelihoods.
