Ioba: High Commissioner Urges Full Community Participation in the Schistosomiasis Elimination Campaign

Dano, 23 November 2025 (AIB) — The High Commissioner of Ioba Province, Innocents Ouattara, called on the population to fully participate in the mass drug administration campaign aimed at eliminating schistosomiasis. His appeal was made on Thursday, November 20, 2025, during an advocacy meeting held in Dano.

He emphasized the importance of strong community engagement to successfully curb the disease, which continues to affect vulnerable groups, especially school-aged children. Authorities encouraged residents to take the treatment and to help raise awareness within their communities to ensure widespread adherence.
