Kim Jong-un Welcomes Soldiers Back from Mission in Russia

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on Friday presided over a welcoming ceremony for soldiers of the 528th Engineer Regiment, who spent 120 days in Russia’s Kursk region.

“Officers and soldiers, you demonstrated collective heroism by overcoming almost unimaginable physical and mental trials day after day,” he said, stating that they had succeeded in “achieving the miracle of turning a vast dangerous area into a safe zone.”
