Local Resilience: IOM Delivers Critical Equipment to Eight Communes in Tannounyan Region, Burkina Faso

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) officially handed over a significant donation of essential equipment to authorities in the Tannounyan region of Burkina Faso on December 4, 2025. The ceremony, held in Banfora and presided over by Regional Governor Patrice Yéyé , marked a major step in strengthening local resilience and improving humanitarian coordination. The materials are intended for regional, provincial, and departmental authorities, in addition to the eight municipalities directly benefiting from the project. This initiative underscores the collaborative effort between state actors and technical partners in promoting effective local development and humanitarian response strategies.
