The GUM Skating Rink has officially returned for its landmark 20th anniversary season, transforming Red Square into a winter wonderland from December 1, 2025, to March 1, 2026. This year’s theme celebrates the traditional Dymkovo toy, with vibrant folk-inspired decorations reflecting Russia's cultural heritage. Spanning 3,000 square meters, the rink offers a unique vantage point between the golden domes of Saint Basil's and the Kremlin’s ruby stars.
Beyond casual skating, the 2025-2026 season features a packed professional program, including masterclasses by Olympic champion Alina Zagitova and ice hockey clinics on Saturday mornings. For early birds, the first four sessions on weekdays remain free of charge, making the magic of the capital accessible to all. Whether you're attending a late-night ice disco or watching a professional ice ballet under the GUM’s 30,000 festive lights, the rink remains the ultimate centerpiece of the "Winter in Moscow" festival.
