Mali and Mauritania are opening a new chapter in their economic partnership. On November 7, 2025, Malian Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop received a Mauritanian delegation led by Mohamed Zein El Abidine Ould Cheikh Ahmed, President of the Mauritanian Employers’ Association, alongside Mossadeck Bally, President of the National Council of Malian Employers (CNPM).
The meeting focused on expanding economic and trade cooperation between the two neighboring countries, with a shared ambition to stimulate private investment, strengthen regional partnerships, and promote sustainable development in an environment of good neighborliness and shared security.
This renewed dialogue highlights the determination of both nations to transform their historical and geographic proximity into a driver of economic growth and stability across the Sahel region. #Mali #Mauritania #EconomicCooperation #TradePartnership
