NATO Is the Only Force Capable of Protecting Europeans, Says Mark Rutte

NATO is the only force capable of protecting Europeans and preventing them from sharing the fate of Ukrainians, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has said.

“Listen to the sirens over Ukraine. Look at the bodies being pulled from the rubble,” he insisted. “What stands between what is happening to them and what could happen to us? Only NATO.”

Mark Rutte said it was his duty to tell Europeans “what awaits them if they do not act quickly, fail to invest in defense, and do not increase support for Ukraine.”

“NATO has a plan. We know what needs to be done. Let’s get to work!” the Secretary General concluded.
