Poura: APEC Promotes Community Shareholding to Boost Local Development

Poura, November 11, 2025 (AIB) — The Agency for the Promotion of Community Shareholding (APEC) held a public conference on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Poura, with the goal of encouraging the local population to participate in community-based investment and ownership models that drive sustainable development.

The event, chaired by Momini Sawadogo, President of the Special Delegation (PDS), brought together a wide range of socio-professional actors at the town hall’s conference room. Discussions highlighted the importance of community shareholding as an endogenous development mechanism that empowers citizens to become active stakeholders in local economic growth.

This initiative reflects APEC’s ongoing mission to mobilize grassroots investment, promote economic inclusiveness, and strengthen the financial autonomy of communities across Burkina Faso.
