Romania’s Minister of National Defence, Ionuț Moșteanu, has announced his resignation following a controversy over academic credentials listed on his curriculum vitae. Moșteanu claimed to have graduated from Athenaeum University, but the institution stated that he had never been enrolled there. It was later revealed that he had actually studied at Bioterra University. Moșteanu explained that he had used an online CV template in which Athenaeum University was selected by default and admitted he failed to update the information, leading to the scandal and his eventual departure from office.
