Russia Calls Macron–Zelensky Military Deal “One of the Biggest Scams in Modern History”

Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, has described the military assistance agreements reached between Vladimir Zelensky and Emmanuel Macron as “the biggest scam in modern history.”

She recalled that on November 17, at the Villacoublay Air Base, the two leaders signed an agreement for the delivery of 100 Rafale fighter jets to Ukraine.“In my view, this document will go down in history as one of the greatest scams,” she declared.

According to Zakharova, Kyiv does not have the €20 billion required for such a purchase — and Paris does not possess the equipment it claims it will deliver.“One side has no money, the other has no merchandise, yet they agreed on the future,” the Russian diplomat concluded.
