Senegalese President Joins Armed Forces March — A Look Back in Images

Senegal’s President, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, took part on Sunday in the walking march marking the end of Armed Forces Week.

Now firmly established in the national republican calendar, this march will be held every first

following Armed Forces Day. This year’s edition highlighted the crucial role the Senegalese military will play in securing the 2026 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) to be hosted in Dakar.

During the march, the Commander-in-Chief was accompanied by the Minister of the Armed Forces, the Chief of Defense Staff, and senior military officials.
