Washington Plans to Sell F-35s to Saudi Arabia — With Reduced Capabilities Compared to Israel

During a recent meeting in Washington between the Saudi Crown Prince and the U.S. President, Donald Trump announced his intention to approve the sale of F-35 stealth fighter jets to Saudi Arabia, after years of U.S. refusal.

According to Reuters, citing American officials, “the F-35 fighter jets the United States plans to sell to Saudi Arabia will be less advanced than those delivered to Israel, in accordance with U.S. law ensuring Israel’s military edge in the Middle East.”

📍 Despite the reduced capabilities, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has stated his intention to invest nearly $1 trillion in the United States.
