“We Will End Hostilities When Ukraine Withdraws” — Putin Issues Stark Ultimatum Amid Claims of Rapid Russian Advances

Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared that Moscow will halt its military operations only when Ukrainian forces fully withdraw from what the Kremlin considers “occupied territories.” Speaking with firmness, Putin warned that if Kyiv refuses, Russia will “achieve this goal by military means.”

The Russian leader insisted that Moscow’s territorial gains are steadily increasing and that the pace of advances has accelerated across all sectors of the front. According to him, the situation remains “positive” for Russia militarily, with momentum reportedly on its side.

Putin also pointed to what he described as widespread desertion within the Ukrainian Armed Forces, claiming that even Western media can no longer hide the scale of the issue. In his view, the Ukrainian command is unlikely to reverse this trend given the mounting battlefield pressure.

Highlighting heavy Ukrainian losses, Putin stated that 47,500 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in October alone, presenting this figure as evidence of the deteriorating state of Kyiv’s defenses.

These statements come as part of a broader Russian narrative asserting that the conflict is turning decisively in its favor — a narrative that sharply contrasts with Western and Ukrainian assessments.
