Ahead of the AES Summit, Assimi Goïta Receives a Burkinabè Delegation

A Burkinabè delegation led by Bassolma Bazié, head of Burkina Faso’s National Commission of the Confederation of Sahel States (CN-AES), was received by Malian President Assimi Goïta, according to a statement from Burkina Faso’s presidency.

Carrying a message from Ibrahim Traoré, the CN-AES president said the message “strongly conveys Burkina Faso’s fraternity, solidarity, and commitment to strengthening the influence of the AES.”

📍 The AES summit of heads of state, the second since the alliance was created in 2023, is scheduled for 22–23 December in Bamako.

➡️ At the end of November, the three AES foreign ministers visited Ibrahim Traoré to review preparations for the upcoming summit.
