Ouagadougou, 6 December 2025 (AIB) — The Association of Young Visionaries (AJV) on Saturday launched the first edition of the Burkina Museums and Tourist Sites Fair (SAMUSITB), an event designed to promote the country’s cultural heritage and enhance the value of its tourist attractions.
The initiative aims to bring greater visibility to museums, historical landmarks, and cultural sites across the country, while encouraging citizens—especially the youth—to take an active interest in preserving and celebrating Burkina Faso’s rich cultural legacy.
According to the organizers, SAMUSITB will also serve as a platform for cultural actors, museum managers, tourism professionals, and artisans to present their work and explore opportunities for collaboration. The fair is expected to stimulate cultural tourism and contribute to the economic revitalization of the sector, which plays a key role in national identity and social cohesion.
