Ouagadougou, December 5, 2025 (AIB) — The Coordination Unit of the Presidential Committee for the Fight Against HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) organized an awareness session on Friday for both civilian and military personnel of the Presidency of Faso. The activity aimed to strengthen disease prevention, with a particular focus on HIV/AIDS, which remains a major public health concern in Burkina Faso.
During the session, facilitators highlighted the importance of early testing, responsible behavior, and continuous education to curb the spread of HIV and STIs. Participants were reminded that despite progress in national response efforts, sustained vigilance and behavioral change are essential to achieving long-term control of the epidemic.
This initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by national institutions to promote a safer, healthier working environment and contribute to the country’s broader goal of reducing new HIV infections.
