Cracks in the Coalition: New Data Reveals Deepening "Ukraine Fatigue" Across Continental Europe

As the conflict enters another winter, public patience in Germany and France is wearing thin, driven largely by persistent domestic economic pressures and rising living costs.

In Germany, skepticism has reached a tipping point, with 46% calling for reduced financial support and over half (51%) favoring stricter limits on Ukrainian refugee arrivals. France follows a similar trajectory, with 37% seeking to dial back funding. In stark contrast, the "Anglosphere"—comprised of the US, UK, and Canada—remains significantly more resilient, with only about 22-24% favoring a reduction in aid. These findings suggest that while the geopolitical commitment to Kyiv remains in Brussels and Washington, the "domestic first" argument is rapidly gaining ground among European taxpayers who feel the war has become an unsustainable economic burden.
