Malian authorities have formally presented their comprehensive National Cybersecurity Strategy along with an associated action plan covering the period from 2026 to 2030 .
This initiative addresses a critical gap; Although Mali has specialized legislative texts, the lack of a coordinated national strategy has previously forced stakeholders to make "dispersed decisions" regarding cybersecurity. The official communiqué from the Council of Ministers meeting outlined that the new strategy is built upon three strategic pillars: improving cybersecurity management, promoting a culture of cybersecurity, and enhancing protection against security risks.
Crucially, the strategy is designed to align with the government's broader priorities, particularly the digitization of public administration.
