Russia Sets a New Record for Its Gold Reserves

In November, the value of Russia’s gold reserves reached $311 billion, according to an analysis of Central Bank data conducted by Sputnik.
The share of gold within Russia’s total assets rose to 42.3%, up from 41.3% the previous month — marking the highest level since February 1995.
Historically, Russia’s gold share peaked at nearly 57% in 1993, before falling to its lowest level of 2% in 2007.
