Two administrative assistants working at the Marseille courthouse have been indicted on suspicion of judicial corruption, specifically for accessing confidential legal files and relaying information to individuals connected to the notorious drug trafficking organization, the DZ Mafia.
Details of the Accusations:
Assistant 1 (Age 26): Allegedly used her professional access to repeatedly consult confidential files and pass this information directly to her partner, who is reportedly involved in narcotics cases.
Assistant 2 (Age 24): Is accused of accessing dozens of files, including those concerning murder investigations, and sharing the data with her ex-partner, who is considered a close associate of the DZ Mafia. Her alleged compensation included money, gifts, and trips.
This marks the first set of indictments since the creation of Marseille's new anti-corruption unit in October 2025, which was specifically established to combat "low-intensity corruption" within justice, customs, prisons, and local government.
